I was wondering how much work/money it would be to lower a 2001 sport trac about 2-3 inchs up front and about 3-4 inchs in the back? my rear tires are about 6 inchs from the top of the fender in the back and about 4 inchs from the fender in the front and i wanna get rid of the huge gap between the tires and also give it a sporter look but not looked slammed or bagged. I know i could get blocks for the back and do the TT/Flip for the front but i hear its a rough ride if its anything lower than a 2-3 inch drop without new shocks and such, just wondering if its worth it? will also be doing all the work with a friend who knows alot about cars as i know pretty much nothing. Any suggestions would be helpful.

You can get 2 in. in front with a TT twist and 3 rear with blocks, that will make your trac about level, thats what I did.
The biggest hassle and cost was getting the front re-aligned (mandatory after a TT)
On my 03 they had to install camber kits, total cost for the alignment was 200 bux.
Ride quality is okay but you will be hitting your bump stops on occasion.
Anything more than 2 and 3 opens up a whole other can of worms, good luck

i put 3 inch blocks in rear and turned torsions down. i am going to do a torsion flip and remove 2 leafs out of the rear spring pack just to see what happens. also going to remove front bumpstops and cut rear ones down. i am going to bag it as soon as i get a compressor and tank cuz i got all the valves, brackets, switchbox, bags, etc.

Thanks for the replies guys

Just bought 3 inch lift/drop kit at autozone (was wondering if i will notice a differene in ride if i would of bought the more expensive EE set?) and was wondering how much drop i would be getting just by doing the TT? the flip kinda scares me  as this is my daily drive and dont really wanna #### it up. Anyone wanna give me a list of things i will need to do the TT and installing the lift/drop blocks? Thanks.

man the ride is almost the same. u just hit bumpstops if u go over some rail road tracks fast or a big dip in the road.

the autozone block set will work but if the hole in the middle of the block wont fit over the leaf spring center pin u will need to drill out the hole to fit ( i had to do this )

drop: about 1 inch in front (mine did anyway, some claim more but as i have a 02 sport trac i assume u will get the same results as me)

directions: loosen adj bolt for torsion bar (my pass side bolt came all the way out and the driver side just backed out a little, but it is level on both sides, this is normal by the may)
rear: jack truck up an put FRAME on jackstands, remove u bolts ON ONE SIDE ONLY , jack rear end up one side at a time, put in block, install new u bolts.

Sweet thanks alot man can't wait too see your truck after all the stuff is done. Another question real quick what size socket is the torsion bolt? and its alright to fully take out the bolt right?
