Yes! I have a 3.5" drop on my explorer 4X4. The easiest way would be to loosten the tortion bars untill you get your desired front end height, then cut off half the front bump stop. In the rear you could add blocks, or get your leaf spring de-arched

What do you mean by remove half the front bump? what exactly is that. And since you have lowered your explorer have you noticed any difference in handling or ride quality? Did the quality of the ride suffer. Basically i am just wondering what the difference in driving the car will be after i lower it. And what kind of block for the back did you put in? where they expensive. thanx

The front Bump Stop, is a rubber block that stops the lower control arm from moving higher than a certain point. If you turn your wheels all the way to the right and look at your suspension from the drivers side front tire, you should be able to see the rubber stop, thats what i am talking about. Before i got new shocks the ride was a lil more bouncy, but there was much less body roll going into corners. As far as blocks go. I got them at 'Cool Cars' Which is a local shop that does hydro's on cars, but you can also get them at auto zone, and they rean about $25.00 with U bolts.

PHEW! been a while since ive been on, been at school. After time to think i have decided to go for the street scene. I have the same thing goin on, 4x4, want to lower. untwisting the torsion bars is exactly how im goin to go bout it. my back springs are already pretty "mellowed out", but I might go for a 1" or 2" block to lower it some more, rims comin next.
