Im confused, when referring to lowering of a car, for example a "2/4 drop"......which Ive seen in countless "how to" drop projects, 2 is front drop and 4 is rear drop.
Im trying to make sense of this. Why would you drop the rear more than the front? What happens if you go 2/2? Would it drop level? Thanks.....
 






Many trucks come stock with the rear higher, this is so the truck is level and handles better with a load.
 












basically what Alec said. most trucks sit 1.5-2" higher in the rear. that's why you see 2/4, 3/5, 4/6 drops out there for trucks. this does not apply to explorer's, as most either sit level or the rear end actually sits lower than the front factory.
