being selectable, they are worth it.... but i would jsut get an aussie locker or similar, if you don't drive liek a moron, you wont have nay problems with a locker and general streetability

Do you want a locker or a limited slip?

Seletable lockers are worth their high price. It all depends on your budget

Aussie locker: $229

FMS LSD : $249

Detriot TrueTrac LSD: $440

Detriot Locker: $550

Most seletables : $700

The Detriot Eletra-lock (or whatever its actually called haha) is a TrueTrac when unlocked, which is pretty cool.

My main reason for not getting a full locker is this is my daily driver and I don't want to ruin the ride. I also tend to tool around a bit and rather not go careening into a sidewalk.

That being said, i've already got stuck a few times on the trail.

if yer willing to spend the cash get a selectable locker. if u won't get an actuall locker atleast get a detroit trutrac. that is a bad ass limited slip. and it handles and works great on road and off.

hehe i bought hindins old truetrac

Its interesting how they work. You can techically can get it to go full lock (50/50) if you spin the tires at the right momment; bascially while going straight. If you lock them up while in a turn it can lock at like 60/40, or 70/30. It can even go 100/0 (open) if you do it right

Also with a truetrac you can powerbrake and get a 50/50 lock every time. This is becasue when you put drag on the load (the brakes) it automatically presses the helix gears to the housing... the key function of how the truetrac works.

unabonked you sound like the pefect canidate for a truetrac

Another benefit to a truetrac is it techically never wears out. It doesnt have clutches.

The price seems to be pretty good to. I saw some for as little as $250. I may be able to do both ends at that price. Thanks guys.
