I've looked up some of the other threads and got some info but I'm still needing some help. My check engine light came on and Auto Zone gave me the code, Insufficient Egr Flow. I bought a Haynes manual but I'm still having some issues trying to figure out where everything is. The thing is I have a 2000 xlt v8 and it seems as though the engine is a little different that the one in the manual. Ok, so my question... What would you guys do? clean or replace the egr valve, replace the dcpe sensor? Anything else? The other issue is that my husband is out of town for the next few weeks, I can be pretty mechanical but is this something I should just take in to get serviced or do is this something I could do on my own. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
