How can I tell if I have the LSD on my 2000 XLS 4.0 ohv? I looked for the sticker in the driver's door jam, but it's not there anymore (the sticker that is).
Just lift the rear axle and turn one wheel. If the other wheel turns in the same direction, you've got a LSD_diff. If the wheel turns the opposite direction, your lsd is either bad or non existant.
Uuuh, That's for decoding your DOOR STICKER, which he already said is gone. Axle code is not listed in the VIN. However, from the VIN, I can ascertain the axle code from the build info when I get some spare time at work. Any dealership can use OASIS to determine the build info from the VIN as well.
As for the LSD, send it to:
DEA Washington Division
Baltimore Field Office.....
