Looking for newer b style
I am use my truck as a daily driver and do a lot of rough trail driving. I am sure I am going to go with the truetrac in the d35.

Which LSD do you like in the rear 8.8? I wanna to put in a truetrac for the purpose of no clutches and price but I heard that you cant run it with anything bigger than 33". As for the eaton well it costs more, wears out and is for drag racing only and is suitable for all tires.

Has anyone run the truetrac in the rear 8.8 on 33s and how does it drive on the road or offroad for that matter?

If you go offroading often and still want an LS on the street get the Eaton electric unit. If you don't need anything on the street, get an ARB locker.

I ran an Eaton LS in the rear for many years and everyone knows how much I abused it. It always worked very well, but a locker is much better offroad.

My Navajo's 8.8 has a truetrac with 33's, never had any problems with it. It acts normal on the street, but you can chirp the inner tire when you want to. As far as off road it worked great. If it didn't auto lock I'd just feather the brakes a tad and it would lock right up, and once it is locked it stays locked until you stop. It can be a pain to lock up on real steep stuff after you have been fully stopped, but it would usually kick in. All in all it was a great choice for me at the time since it was my DD and I lived in the ice and snow in Vail and didn't want a full locker.

That is basically the same conditions I drive in. you just have it in the rear or are you running it in the front as well? what kind of offroading do you mostly do??

I only have it in the rear, it would have been real nice in the front as well. Plenty of my wheeling buddies with Toyotas run them in front and they work really well.

The Navajo has been hammered up some pretty good trails, so don't worry about strength issues with the Truetrac and 33's. I think it is Tractech just being cautious with the warranty, and I bet they would honor the warranty if you didn't flat out tell them it had 33's, that is if you can break it.

Thanks for you support and advice man. I think I will go front and rear truetrac now for sure thanks again.

Bumpin this, just put an Eaton Truetrac in the rear of my 8.8, hoping it works well and holds up
