Anybody in the UK used this Lucas Oil Stabiliser in their diff and transfer box?

Heard good stuff about it but i would be inclined personally to stick to the Ford additive for the diff and just mercon for the transfer case. Tho when i get around to the diff i was gonna go with millers synth 80/175 type stuff. supposed to be anti shear as the particles are homogenous in size yada yada (lots of interesting reading all over the web on oils if you a bit of a spotter like me).

yes your right about the web search, many views for and against every product on the market.

I also seem to remember reading on the forum about putting Mobil 1 in the transfer and diffs but I can't find that now, anybody know where it went?

I'll have a look at the millers site

what is the ford additive called?

FYI the transfer case uses ATF and Mercon is adequate but people have posted using Mercon V as an upgrade.

The Ford stuff is called Friction Modifier. If you use a fully synthetic 75/140 then there is no need to add the friction modifier

Jim
found a scrap of paper from last summer with some notes on it. Don't know if it is correct but i have a part no. for the Ford friction modifier FIR No. 135454. Or C8AZ-19B546-A
