The power lumbar support in my 06 felt like it had retracted in the seat, when I went to adjust it there was aclicking noise. Now the lumbar support doesn't work at all. I am still under warranty and will have them fix it but I was just curious if anyone else had a similar issue.

Well nearly 2 years later and the lumbar support went out again. This time not under warranty and the cost of the motor alone is $225. Since I never adjust the setting and just leave it in one place I am thinking of taking the seat apart and making a brace to keep the lumbar support fully extended.

Anyone know where to get a diagram of the lumbar support so I know what I am dealing with before I open the seat up?

This just happened to me yesterday, heard and felt "pop" and then the support was gone.Going to stealership tomorrow.

yeah, resurrecting an old one, but curious what the problem, fix, and how long it's held together for you?

tia,
parker

holy cow! thank you Ornery! what service is that from? it's far more detailed than what i got off the ford dvd.
i've got the seat all torn apart and now i have a partial p/n for what looks like an entire assembly for the power lumbar. guess i'll see about $$ and availability later today.

PDF Manual used to be available at 1000RepairManuals.com for $20.00, but is no longer there. I emailed and asked if they were still available "under the table" or something. They replied, "I am sorry,i do not have any Ford manual anymore.."

If anybody else has another source, even full price, it would be nice to post it. The PDF version is far more desirable than the printed version, to me anyway.
