So over the past few weeks the transmission has been making some funny clanking noises in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in low RPM after I changed the clutch, flywheel, and slave. Vibrates really bad on the highway in 5th. Something is definitely wrong. I removed the shifter bushings and had the engine on in neutral. With the clutch in, the input shaft is still spinning, albeit slower. I also pulled the boot and dust cover over the shifter and drove for a bout 15 minutes like that so I can hear the transmission noises better. I took a video, I apologize for the length and the dirty floor, but I really could use an expert opinion on what's going on.

You will need to have the volume all the way up, the mic on my phone is pointed in the wrong direction.

was the trans good before the clutch change?

I'm assuming as much, but it was hard to tell if it was the clutch giving me issues or the transmission. I will say that once the clutch and slave got replaced I don't have the same problems with 2nd and 3rd not going into gear. Just the clanking at low RPM's in 3rd and 4th and the vibration in the higher gears at higher speeds. What's weird is that at higher speeds in 4th I can feel the gear wobbling if I lightly touch on the shifter, doesn't happen in any other gear and only at high RPM's/speed (2k + RPM, 50+ MPH)

Have you watched the clutch open and close through the clutch view port?

Have you tried watching through there with engine running? Looking for any wobbles or vibration

I would say something went south during the clutch install OR you got a bad clutch disc? flywheel not bolted flush? Something fishy here

Can you just move to Idaho? Make things so much easier!! LMFAO
