There are things on the Limited you cant get on the Sport if it's any consolation

As Sgt1411 has mentioned, a fully loaded Limited has more features than a loaded Sport. Also, unless you are willing to put premium gas in the Sport, you won't get the rated performance out of it. If it were me, I would go with the Limited.

i do put premium gas on my limited which i think is a stupid thing to do. but does it make a difference with regular or premium gas? like better mpg? i really like the extra hp and the rims on the sport which the limited doesn't have. but it is what it is i bought it already. cant trade it in and get a sport. my limited only has 300 miles on it. it will be a big lost if i did trade it in.

Ask dealer to buy it back at close to what you paid since it only has 300 miles on it and see if they will let you slide into a sport

Stay with the ltd, and just gt the rims if that is what you like the most, but like some else said the ltd has much better gadgets !!

Using premium in your Limited is a complete waste of money. It is designed to use regular 87 octane gas. Using premium will not make any difference except in your wallet.

I'm just a new guy round these parts but having run primarily 87 in 2010 SHO now for 3yrs... I never ( by seat of pants ) noticed the difference in daily driving burning 91-93.

Here is what the manual says:

Pg. 353 of the 3rd printing of the 2010 Taurus Owner's Manual:

Quote:
3.5L V6 SHO engine
Your vehicle is designed to run on regular fuel with an octane rating of
87 or higher. For best overall performance, premium fuel with an octane
rating of 91 or higher is recommended. The performance gained by using
premium fuel will be most noticeable in hot weather or in severe duty
applications such as towing a trailer.

Join me in hoping that in a few years we will have the option of squeezing in twin turbos into the LTD without breaking the wallet.

How much towing to you really do in your SHO

Not so, Mr. Peter, at least not with the EcoBoost motors. Ford's own advertising clearly states the power HP ratings were obtained using premium fuel.....so there will be a differance, which does show in better average mileage, at least in my 13 EBoost......

In the Taurus SHO/Explorer Sport EcoBoost V6 yes there are HP gains.

The programming will automatically adjust spark advance to take advantage of the higher octane

In the Limited 3.5L V6 naturally aspirated there are no gains.

While that technically is true, It is virtually undetectable IMHO

Thank you. I was referring to his Limited which I assumed does not have the EcoBoost engine since since Zhi620 has not identified it as having one. I'm very much aware of the need for premium to get the most out of the EcoBoost.
Around here that means about an extra 60 cents an Imp. gallon

Thanks alot guys for the tips I reconsider about the sport that it wasn't so much better than the limited after all hehe
