When I was reading some other posts on MAF sensor, I came across a post from a guy, who said he got a MAF body from a mustang at the junk yard and in stalled the larger body with his X sensor put back in it. In theory this sounds like an economical way to get a larger MAF but would it work? Did anyone try it? just curious:confused:
 






The thread was titled Mass Air Trick, I think.
I've been meaning to check my local junkyard but haven't had the time on a weekend in a long while. As soon as I do, I will try this out. Seems to work in theory though......

I hear you but it would still be interesting to see if it worked. and if you could find one for 10-20 bucks even better!
 






just a thought, Wouldn't you have to upsize your injectors to take full advantage of the top end available?
I remember the 2.6L Capri's could really rev and surprisingly stomp some smog V8's back in the mid-seventy's. And that motor is what basically started the 60*V6,2.8,2.9,4.0L engine family, with some differences along the way as we know.;)
