MAF's different from 91-94?

Hey guys, quick question. The MAF in my 94 has been giving me trouble occasoinally, I saw the thread on here about cleaning it with denatured alcohol, and that made it a lot better, but sometimes it still throws the MAF code and acts up. So i was in the junkyard today to get a new tail light and stumbled across a 91 or 92 maybe that still had the MAF in it. Threw it in my toolbox, bought the taillight and went on my way. After i got back i noticed that the part numbers are ever so slightly different? Were there different calibrations for these years or will it work fine?


94 Part Number - F07F - 12B579 - A2C AFH55-05 4D07

J/y part number - F07F - 12B579 - A2B AFH55-05 1E09

i'm 99% sure that the last 4 digits are date codes.

Anyone know the difference?

You'll be ok, the EEC4 MAF's were very vague and as long as the AFH55 is the same, which means it's a 55mm MAF, then you'll be good to go.

I put it on this morning and on my 180 mile drive home it seems to have drastically improved my gas mileage. Hopefully it will stay this way.
