Did anyone installed Magnefine filter in 2005 Mountaineer?

The cooler hoses in the online diagram look like they are metal and rubber and I’m not sure if I’ll have enough space to cut the rubber hose and add the inline filter. If I can what size do I need? Thanks

Not on an '05, but I have used a few on my '97 XLT, and my neighbors Sierra, after trans rebuilds (we're too broke to spring for new rads), then eliminate it after the first or second interval. 3/8" on the filter, 11/32" cooler line for the connections.

What I am trying to do, is prevent any contaminants missed by back to back cooler flushes, from entering the system via the return line.

Do you remember the length you bought? Does the hoses that AutoZone or Advance selling are good?

Transmission cooler hose, 4 feet in a pack from Advance.

How do i access the rubber hoses that connect to the cooler?
