Alright, i have a major issue with my front end squeaking every time i go over a bump or any movement on my suspension and just recently it's started every time i turn my steering wheel at all, i was just wondering if anyone else has had this issue i'd love for someone to point me in the right direction because im pretty sure if i take it to my nearest shop, they will tell me that like 9 things are wrong with my car which aren't actually wrong with it and try to get as much money out of me as possible. :exporange

Mine did that and it was the passenger side lower balljoint.

+1 on ball joints being most likely culprit. Have all 4 of them greased (as in lube job part of an oil change, not expensive at all). The shop will say you dont have any grease fittings - tell them to use a needle greaser on the boots and lube them. Noise will very likely go away BUT you should definitely have them checked for wear to keep the truck safe.

happened to me too...was also ball joints

what's the average cost of having a ball joint replaced?

Lower balljoints cost less than $20 but shop time is usually 1.5 hours so expect $150-200 each. The upper balljoints are integrated into the control arms and cost more. Generally shops quote 800-1200 to replace all 4 and reallign the front end. You can buy the set of parts yourself for 175-400 depending on brand and follow the instructions in the stickies of this forum to save the labor. It's not technically difficult, just time consuming.
