Making a 4x2 into a 4x4

Hi, does anyone know if there is any way to modify a 4x2 98 Explorer to make it 4x4?

I would LOVE to make my X a 4x4, any info is welcome

Basically find a rolled or otherwise wrecked, but in decent mechaincal order, 98 or 99 Explorer and use it to get the parts from. On your 98, the fronts are identical and you should be able to just get the parts off the donor vehicle and bolt them onto yours. I'm planning on doing hte same thing but also swap in the V8 and better tranny. Do a search, there is plenty of info on here about it.

heh there are lots of people trying to do that, me included. the main problem for me though is finding the donor vehical. theres a lot of work involved in converting to 4wd.
