I bought a socket that looked like the on in the pic in one of the stickied threads on stock first gen's, brought it home ant it is way too big!
What size does it need to be, the one I bought was if I remember correctly it was 2 1/4" spindle socket.

The manual hub socket has 4 pins on it to engage the nuts. IIRC it only comes in one size (most often called a ½-ton 4WD Dana44 locknut socket, since a D44 is the same size as the D35).

The one I have has the pins but just too big, I am gonna call another parts store and see if they have one.
