I was wondering how did everyone who has done a manual tranny swap wire up there 4-lo and the reverse lights so they will work again.
Thanks

I got my 4lo working by using a wiring diagram for the auto and connecting the correct wires together on the connection for the old auto. I didnt worry about reverse lights.

Its really easy. Its been over two years since my swap and i couldn't remember if i tried. Just get a wiring diagram for the auto tranny wiring and you can figure it out. Its easy. I put switches on mine to disable 4lo and the starter if i need to. All hidden under the dash.

When I did the 700r4 conversion I gave up on the neutral switch (to allow it to go into 4x4 low only when in neutral).. In my case the switch was bad.

I just wired mine so it always thinks it in neutral. It will try to go into 4x4 low no matter what (It won't go if I have a load on the drivetrain).

How did you do that? I was able to splice into the nuetral saftey switch wires to get it started but what wires make it think it's in nuetral?
Thanks for your help

My diagram shows its the Red/Lt Blue wire and the Pink wire in the connector on the transmission. Those two wires get connected when your in Park or Neutral. If you connect them together it thinks your in park/neutral.
