Hello all,
I read about CRC's mass airflow cleaner. Supposedly every time you change your air filter you give the mass airflow sensor a shot of this spray and it will keep it clean. I thought it might be a good idea since, on my last Explorer, I had a mass airflow sensor go and it was pretty expensive.

Has anybody used it? Any concerns?
Thanks,
Gregg

I used BG's Air Intake System Cleaner to clean my MAF, and throttle body. Works great. CRC chemicals are usually top notch too. I'd have no problems using it.

Cleaning the MAF sensor is more important if you're using an oiled cotton gauze filter element (i.e. K&N) compared to a paper element. They really don't get all that gunked up when you're running a paper element.

Thanks for all the feedback! I will give it a try next time I change the air filter.
