2016 Ford explorer limite
I purchased my Ford exploreraboit 2 years ago, after a few oaths both massage seats stopped working. Any idea what could be the problem? Trying to save a trip to the service center.

Have you checked the fuse/relay?

How many fuses/relays are there for the massaging seats on 2016 Ford explorer? Mine stopped working for a few months now (don't really use it that much), got the back of both seats open hoping to find some ripped wires but they all look good.

I haven't checked but they should be listed in the chart in your Owner's Manual under Fuse Specifications.

There was a TSB for replacing the wiring harness ends to the seat modules on pretty much all Fords from 2015-2019ish with massaging seats. Very common issue.

Thanks for the suggestion. I just ordered 2 kits for both seats even though the wiring harnesses don't appeared to be damaged at all. Really hope it's just that, not that both the modules are fried 🤞

Did you pull the plugs out? Typically the seat plug issues on fronts are burnt pins on the high power feeds rather than damage to the wire itself but either way hopefully that fixes it. If you have/get Forscan it is also very helpful in diagnosing these kind of issues as almost every powered circuit is also monitored for open circuits and shorts to ground at every module.

I did pull the plugs out but didn't check the pins (was only looking for wiring damages 😁). And I do have forscan, but only know to use it to find DTC which it did throw 2 codes, something like it can't connect or communicate with the Modules
