OK I am working on a master list of lights that will fit in the stock locations. I have the list of PIAA's that will fit in the stock locations with little or no modification being mailed to me as we speak, but I'm trying to keep it as an impartial list, so if you know of a hella or a catz or a pilot or whatever that you know will fit with little or no modification, let me know! I'm looking for the manufacturer, model number, and any good info you can give me on the lights (wattages, colors, etc.)

sorry about that, this is a partial list... more will fit with minor trimming, but these are the ones that are guaranteed to fit. Keep in mind these are the ones guaranteed to fit in the STOCK LOCATION, other models will fit ont op of bumpers, on brush guards, etc.

you may want to try to get ahold of gsibble, he's the one that did the mod last. I can't find the picture he posted, but i remember him posting it to the board.

Thanks Matt

You think 910s would be too bright around town or cause alot of glare for on comming cars?

well, I had the 910's on my old F-150 and I used to use them OCCASIONALLY in town, and never got flashed much, but i could tell they were much much brighter then I should really have in the city :). What you could do is go with the 959's, there the same design but more of a fog light, they look pretty coolt oo :).

Hrmm ok do the 959s come in clear superwhite or just ion amber?

just ion amber, the 910's come in clear superwhite, but you might get pulled over for having those on in town :).

The 959s come in the Ion Fog and the Clear White. When you order them, if you do, make sure to specify if you want upright or pendulum as the offer both styles. Not much of a difference, but since the engrave "PIAA" on the lens, it would be nice to have them the right way! :)

FOGS

Matt

I was thinking about the 959s but looking at the bigger 520s or 80s. Will the 80pro XT clear fogs or 520s get you pulled over? It really is foggy this time of year and Id like to run em on the street too. Thinking of getting a inexpensive safari bar to mount them on for now.

well I've never been pulled over for lights so I can't tell you what will get you pulled over... Almost anytime I drive the explorer at night I leave the 520 fog's on though and i've never even been flashed by oncoming traffic. I was flashed a few times when I had the 910's on... I don't have any experience with the 959's personally, sorry. May ask Bill Kemp what he thinks of em, I believe has has them.

Also yes, if getting the 910's, 959's, etc. please specify whether you'll be mounting them upside down or rightside up. THere is a difference other then what way the lens shows, also the way it's waterproofed.

Thanks thats good to hear. I think its between the 520s and the 80proXT clear fogs. Hrmm 85w vs 120w... Be nice to get the 80s @ $195. How many people getting the 80s? :-)

so far not enough to get the discounted rate... the 80 XT's are not only a higher wattage but much more light! :). On the 520's and 80's if you flip em upside down, you do have to rotate the lens but thats about a 5 minute procedure.

Does the reseller have the 520 MSRs yet?

no, and they probably won't be out to re-sellers for several months. PIAA doesn't even have any of them made yet.
