I have a front and rear axle out of a jeep j10.....i was wondering if it would be worth it having the width of the fs axles under the 96 sport i have......

With full-width axles you'll have more stability but it most likely wont be street legal as the tires will be way to far out of the wheel wheels. Depending on what kind of suspension you go with it could also be a bit harder to set everything up correctly.

that rear is a d44 also I believe which is weaker than the 8.8 you have.

I'm looking at a similar set of axles. I like the 8.8 better as well, so I'm thinking about matching the gears and just using the front dana 44. I have been looking for a HO from a late 70s f-150, but is this a good option for a SAS? I can get the axle pretty cheap.
