will this be worth the money today my x blew a head gasket and i am considering replacing both heads and gaskets but the engine has 200,000 miles on it just trying to get some info on it or do you think i should just get a low mileage engine and throw it in any help is greatly appriciated thanks

Obviously you should throw in a 347 w/ a T5 transmission Since you have that many miles I say do a complete reubild or drop one with less mileage in, if you can find one for a good price.

I like the V8 idea myself but a 200k motor isn't worth just throwing a new set of heads at. Either do a total rebuild i.e. machine work etc or get a new/newer motor. Ford will sell you a crate motor with a warranty (3yr/36,00 mile I believe) for $2700. I know it's a big expense but it's nice to have a warranty. Oh the cost is with you doing the labor. When I called I didn't price labor.

I'm considering a rebuilr/new motor myself. What is included with the crate motor?(fuel injectors, water pump, and such)
