Max size tires for 96 explorer 4x4

What is the maximum size tires for a stock 96 explorer 4x4 eddie bauer? I'm also looking for some good all terrain/ rugged terrain tires. I have michelin ltx's on now and i new new tires.

You shold be able to use a 31\10.50.I personally like BFG All Terrains good traction and mileage. For me any way.

Yea, BFG AT or the new Bridgestone Dueler REVOs. Those are what I would stick with.
