Front axle on my Ex sometimes engages on a dry pavement without any reason. Since i have Brown Wire mod done, i see the light on the knob when it's engaged. I've checked the shaft sensors and found that they were covered with some residue. I have cleaned them and everything was alright for about 2 weeks, then it started again. Checked sensors again-same story, they're dirty as before. Now I am thinking about flushing the TCase with Kerosene to get all that dirt out, and the question is, may i do it or it might cause problems? Is there some other way to get Transfer Case clean? (I have changed TCase fluid about 6 months ago.)

I'd be careful with Kerosene because it may affect (harden?) the seals of the transfer case.

One way to "flush" the transfer case is to do a few fill/refill. Basically you drain it, fill it with Dexron-III, drive it for a week or so, drain it, and repeat again. Oh and when you drain it, try to drain it right after the vehicle has been driven -- while most of the "dirt" is still suspended in the Dexron-III, instead of settling at the bottom. But be careful, the oil is very hot.

As for the dirt, remove the beather tube and check to make sure its clean (no hardened mud in there).
