Mazda Navahjo same as 1st gen X?

Pulling up to what I thought was a first gen X. The tailgate reads MAZDA NAVAHJO.
Third brake light, rear window, latches, everything was 1st gen X. as it turned the corner the side looked identical. Is Mazda building Ford X's with their name on them?

The Navajo is the same as the 2dr Ex except for the front grill/ headlight area- it is much much better looking

Ford and Mazda are not the same company, Ford has a 33% controlling interest in Mazda. From what I remember, Ford built the Navajo for Mazda in exchange for Mazda building the Probe for Ford. Worked out pretty crappy on both ends
