MD state Inspection Questions

Just switched my truck over from PA to MD tags/title. Because my PA inspection had run out, I was told that I need to get a MD inspection within 90 days.

What is involved in the inspection? I was just told its a "safety" inspection but no details. I want to find out if there is anything specific I need to take care of so it wont be an issue.

Also, are there any places that are recommended? I am living in Essex, just outside Baltimore. I am a college student, finishing my degree while doing an Internship at the University of Maryland. So, Money Is Very TIGHT!

Its basically a MD version of the PA safety inspection you get done.

One site online said it is better to go to a place that Only does the inspections, rather than a garage. It also said to avoid a Dealership, but having worked at one thats a no Brainer!
