any one know why they sold as Mazda Navajo and as Mercury Mountaineer even though it is the same rig but a little different outside and inside? Is it to get more buyers or something. Enlighten me on this one...
Everyone does it man!!! Cousin Lincoln Navigator, Big Brother Expedition. SAME THING. Pontiac Vibe, Suzuki something, Toyota Matrix. SAME THING. Toyota Camry, Lexus ES. SAME THING. Infinity GS Coupe. Japan's Skyline. SAME THING. Lamborghini Diablo. BMW 8-series. Mercedes SL600. Porche 911 twin turbo. Ford EXPLORER. SAME THING!!!
i'm in sales and am currently selling ford, but was previously at a lincoln/mercury dealership - the platforms are the same, but there are subtle differences (mainly cosmetic), it all depends in what you want out of your vehicle - and which models you're comparing
Eddie Bauer X and a Mountaineer are basically the same thing except the front grille and rear bumper and maybe some other small things. Thay are about the same price right??? i wold assume that people get the mountaineer just so they dont have the Explorer as everyone else.
Well, for '97 Mountaineer, it's equivalent with the Explorer XLT, no matter what package, but not the Eddie Bauer. Then from '98-'01, it really depends on what package you get for the Mountaineer. Packages ranges from a very low end XLT to luxury packages that are equivalent to the Eddie Bauers and Limiteds.
The Eddie Bauer Explorer is comparable to the Mountaineer with the Monterey package, which adds a tan trim to it and color matched (tan) bumpers. I've always been a fan of the Mountaineers and surprised that we don't see many owners here...
