Message center, plug and play?

I am considering purchasing a message center for my center console, for my 1996 explore, is this system prewired? Can you just plug it in? Or is there much more?

So for $20, this thing will look good just sitting there right, even if it doesn't work. lol. I cannot believe how much wiring there is. I'm just going to install it so it will light up.

Perhaps one day I will actually try to wire this thing in.
