A metallic sound, which is pretty hard to describe keeps irritating me. It is getting worse.

I drive a 1995 XLT with 4wd (just posted one about whiney steering, I've been a member of this forum sicne Jan of 2003, but i never posted anything! SO i guess you could say that i am new)

I'm trying to get everything fixed here

It's going to be hard for any of you to help me here, but I'm not sure what I'm working with either..

The noise isn't made all the time, It's mostly after the truck is warmed up. It stops when I drive it. That's about all i know. Not sure if it does it when it's cold, it hasnt been cold for more than a few days but so far i can say that it hasn't made the noise.

Any ideas?

Thanks guys,
Jason

Jason, you're going to have to provide a little more info. First, which eng./trans combo is in your truck? Where's the noise coming from (location on the truck)? Does it occur under certain conditions (i.e. driving straight, over 40 mph, while turning, while stopping, etc.). Based on what you've provided so far, it could be anything.

What he said, but anyway first thing that would come to mind is a sticking lifter or something like that. Def. need more info.
