I'm planning on updating to MFT Sync 3.8. I was hoping on driving while doing so. I will not have heater controls while doing so, not heat ventilation? I'm guessing I wouldn't. I have 2014 XLT.

I updated mine while driving but can't recall if the heat/cool was working or not. It took about 25 minutes to complete. Please add the 2014 XLT to your signature seeing as how your profile likely seems to be full. That way the members will know what you have when replying to your posts. Thanks.

You have access to all climate controls while updating, just not using the MFT screen. You have to use the buttons for the 20 minutes or so it takes to update. I did mine when air conditioning was needed and specifically remember the site saying use the climate controls on the center stack.

The file I downloaded in October was rev1 and there are a couple of files with different dates on them. Is there a reason to re-apply rev2?

EDIT: I just confirmed the update I did in October and the newer download is now not available.

The thing is that you cannot install rev2 if rev1 has been already installed, well at least by USB stick without intervention from IDS, because both rev2 and rev1 have same version number 15128.
I checked mine profile and this is not available for my vehicle to download.

I've got another glitch of 3.8. I get "Nav SD-Card fault" message every so often. Maps are A6 version. Shutting off engine and reinserting SD-Card helps.

What about people in US?

Canadians are all over different vehicle forums complaining about it and have for a while.

I have had Sirius Travel Link for years, it works great.

Traffic, Movies, Weather, Gas Prices, Sports, etc etc.

Canadian builds dont get Vehicle Health Report, SYNC Services, and some dont get HD Radio.

I have asked for 4 years now, still no substantive answer as to why.

Probably some ridiculous bilingual reason thanks to Quebec!

My Canadian build Sirius Travel Link Traffic still works fine after v3.8 SIRI update. Didn't seem to affect it.

I have a 2011 Explorer and the update is not showing up on the Ford website. It says my Sync is up to date, was last updated in March 2014, and I'm only running 3.6.2.

I just sent you a PM jason with my VIN, if you don't mind taking a peak and see if there is any clue why I'm not seeing an update available?
