Michelin LTX AT's

I believe I have made up my mind to replace the Firestone tires with Michelin LTX A/T's but can't decide to get the 105S or 108S speed/load rating. Anyone have plus and minus on the the speed/load ratings? Would the 108S have a harsher ride than the 105S? Thanks.

My 265 75R16 LTX ATs at 35 PSI ride smoother and quieter than my 255 70R16 Wilderness ATs ever rode. Mine are the LT version (108S). Considering how nice they ride, I am glad I didn't get the P version.

there isnt too much difference between the two. i am an X tire guy and would go with the 108--corresponds to some weight rating chart-+S=112 mph.........they are very dependable tires and are good for street. they arent too good offroad but they will last 60k easy on the street if you dont lite em up all the time. also for street mainly the new cross terrain michelens are a good tire. very solid.

I also am thinking about getting the Michelin But, I dont off road much but i do go onto the beach a lot with my X... lots of soft sand and so far my firestones have held up well on the beach, they are some what of a meaty tire and they eat the sand up... anyone have any ideas on what tire i should go with for the recall?

What Did You Go With?

What tire did you go with finally?

Have you had them in the sand yet?

I want to run my AWD on the soft sand in the Outer Banks, NC wondering how it will perform. My 94 X was great but it had the regular 4wd. I won't be driving nuts but just want to get out on the beach and tool around a bit.

Any other replies would be appreciated.
