Might be getting an new 03 or 04 4x4

As you might as well know is I am in search to retire my 96 as an 3rd backup ride while I search for an new 03 or 04 Explorer,, but this time an 4x4.


Can anyone here share your thoughts and experiments with the 4x4 on the new 03 or 04 body/chassis?

How does the 4x4 handle the off roads and can they be made an beast like the older hard core explorers (ever)?

It can be made to go good but it is gonna take some extreme money. Since they are IFS and IRS they will not go on the trail near as well as the last 2 generations. If you want to go on the trail then get an 02 Explorer with the options you want, the 03 will go on a trail, just nothing out of the ordinary.

They ride awesome on the street though, and by awesome I mean F-CKING AWESOME!
