To put mileage into perspective, the circumference of the earth at the equator is 24,901.55 miles (40,075.16 kilometers).

So, simple math dictates that if you have 100,000 miles on the odometer, your vehicle has driven enough miles to go around the Earth 4 times. Pretty impressive, hey?

I wonder how many times the average transmission has shifted in 100,000 miles?

My ST just passed 101,000 this week. I never thought of it as you put it. Thanks for the food for thought.

6.82688427026.... roughly. :)

Now, if you include the F-150's miles, 9.276530979.... or so.
