I have been thinking about this thread for a while, and finally after this weekend when i was able to get to some things that I needed to fix on the X, I thought I should post about it.

This I have been meaning to fix, but havent gotten around to it yet:

wiper arms either replace or repaint
fix OHC so that i dont have to play around with it to get the drivers side map light to come on.
fix rear wiper mount inside hatch
fix cruise switch (the top part is broken)
get replacement part for rear 60 seat so it will fold forward without screw driver

This I finally got around to fixing this weekend:

figured out WHY the rear 60 seat would not fold down, and then realized that my back seats reclined!!!!
put more weather striping on rear window so it will not leak
put weather striping under rear hatch trim so it does not rattle anymore
fixed front bumper so that it is straight now
And finally rattle canned the parts of the frame that i can see that are all rusted...

So how about you guys? What small minor things have you been meaning to fix on your ex's but havent gotten around to yet, or what ones have you completed?

I have had a rebuilt valve body sitting in the living room since May. New antenea since May (the plastic cable is stripped). She will need tires and a state inspect by next month. Wiper arms need paint. Transfer case shift motor needs to be adjusted. I also have that driveshaft clunk I want to look into.

Wife's car though. I have my own problems. Dropped a valve on my '93 F350 7.3 turbo IDI while on vacation in July. Just now getting the heads pulled and replacing a piston! When I get the truck back together, I'll tackle her Explorer.

ah yes i forgot about two things that you pointed out.

I need to do:

replace the power antenna
replace t-case shift motor (to much work to clean out to have it do it again in a few months).

Replace my windshield as it has a huge rock crack in it (spiral style).

Touch up some of the body that has very minor chipped painted.

Asphalt undercoat before the winter comes around.
