- 2005 Explorer XLT 4.0 4x4
I'm having issues with my 2005 explorer xlt 4.0 4x4 and would love to hear what you all think, I'm completely stumped at this point
It will start up, idle, and drive/rev completely fine for the first 5-10 minutes it's on, but as soon as it gets up to temp it starts to miss very badly when accelerating or revving and go into limp mode. It will also stumble or stall when put into gear. If I turn it off for 20-30 minutes and come back it will do the exact same thing until it gets warm. It gets progressively worse as it runs for longer, to the point where it won't drive without stalling
The only two codes that have come up are P0320 (Ignition engine speed input circuit) and the limp mode code
Parts I've tried replacing:
Cam sensor, crank sensor, plug wires, ignition coil, and fuel filter
Checked for vacuum leaks and didn't see any
This all started happening during some 95+ degree days in case that has anything to do with it, waiting for the weather to cool down to see if it helps
Thank you!
