Give me advice. I've been told not to mix wheel bearing grease in the hub because some greases will react with others and break down and go watery. Is this true? If so, how long before I should open 'er back up and clean it all out and repack with one kind. I checked my 94's fronts last weekend and wiped clean the outer and some of the hub and packed new into the outer bearings only.

I was always told to repack with every brake change. As far as mixing types, never heard this..A tub of grease goes a long way, so far it hasn't been an issue..

Yes, it is true that mixing some greases will result in a watery mess. However, most multi-purpose NLGI greases are compatible. If you have the bearing out, clean them up first and regrease. Better safe than sorry.
