MIXTURE OF 33"S AND 373S

I HAVE 200HP OUT OF MY 4.0. RIGHT NOW I HAVE 31"S AND STOCK GEARING, WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF I WENT TO 33"S AND KEPT THE SAME GEARS?

TOP SPEED?

DOES MY TRANNY GO?

WHOSE GOT CHEAP 4.10-4.56S?

CAN I INSTALL THEM

Top speed will stay the same, dependent on your computer governor.

More stress on the tranny, dunno how much it would accelerate it's demise.

Most people cannot and/or shouldn't install their own gears.

You'd feel a loss in power, but gain some highway mileage.

I have 32" MTR's and 3.73's. I notice a loss of power...but nothing too dramatic. I'm sure you would be fine for quite some time with stock gears....but eventually you will probably want to upgrade to gain some power back.

i went from 30s to 32s and i havent noticed to much difference in accel. but i can tell. SSIKORA howd you change your avatar? i have 4.10 gears

first of all how did you get 200 from your 4.0??? second mine is an old tired 4.0 and I am running 33's on 3.73 gears and as long as no one wants to race I am doing fine, installing an aux trans cooler wouldn't hurt just remember that you are not fast and your X is not going to win any races, IE dont push it too hard!

You can get 200hp out of a 4.0,, just need things like headers, maf, exhaust, chips.
