What dose every one think about mabey bolting a swing out tire carrier, with places for gas cans to the stock bumper. I have seen some tire carriers for sale not attached to bumpers and was thinking about putting one on the stock bumper. and also I was wondering about re-moving the carpet and putting some bed liner material in place of the carpet or some kind of rubber matting. If any one has done this can you post pics?? and give me some feed back on what you think about them? thanks Nathan

I really like that setup. what about the carp removal has any one done that and in place of the carpet but a bed liner material?? or rubber matting and if so what did you use? I have seen people putting a metal floor in thr cargo area but nothing about the rest of the carpet. thanks again Nate

Do some searching. A few people have done it. One of these people is "Doug". He's got some pics and a little mini writeup IIRC in one of the threads.

I too will be doing it, as well as removing all doors. My goal is to get hte truck below 4k lbs so i'll have to be gutting it. You can use a product called Herculiner in place of the carpet, i will be using a similar (but cheaper) product from duplicolor. Eventually all my stock seats will also be replaced with buckets setup for 5-point harnesses but that won't come until the cage :D

Jesus i can't wait!!!

Back to your question, yes, many people have especially those who build dedicated trail rigs. While your at it you should also waterproof everything like your computers so if they get wet...you can keep going ;)
