Moonroof opens by itself

I have a bit of a different situation with my 2016x...i go out in the morning and the moonroof is fully open and i cannot close it.

It could be that the switch or the motor is faulty. The glass and shade use identical motors so you could try swapping them to see if that allows the glass portion to close. The motors are shown as part #12 in the diagram. Sunroof for 2016 Ford Explorer | Levittown Ford Parts
