Someone posted before about basically tightning up their throttle cable for a cheap thrill ( slight horspower gain) but he was talking about a 1/2 ton I think. well, got bored and checked mine out by putting a block on the go-pedal made sure it was to the floor checked under the hood and sure enough, it wasnt reaching full WOT and as all you computer guys know that WOT tells the engine to forget emmistions, you want power now! to pass or what not. Anyway, to test yours just peek under the dash and pull TOWARD you on the pedal, if there is more then say 1/2 inch of space between the cable stop and the spring retainer you might not be getting all the way to WOT ( look for yourself if your dont belive me ) Anyway, I allso have the POS automatic and there is a second smaller cable next to the throttle cable and it wasnt reaching real great either so I put two of the smallest hose clamps I could find on both cables and I have noticed very significant accecleration nothing like adding a blower but better. And with the shift down cable adjusted it down shifts a lot faster and passing is way bettter. I recomend you all check to see if your have a simialer dilemea.
