What are the most comfortable leather seats you've sat in? They don't have to be Explorer or Ranger. I'm thinking of getting some new seats and want some ideas, my front buckets are starting to go. I know I'd have to change the rails if not out of an X. The most comfortable I've sat in were probably in a Typhoon, but I think they were aftermarket. Anyways, thanks for your input!

mine

Hmm.. Maybe some Explorer seats! I don't wanna fab any brackets. I've been reading '92-'01 fit, but then saw someone with a '97 put '02 seats in saying they were a direct bolt-in. I also saw some say '92+ fit. Can anyone give me a definite answer? I like the '02 seats more than lower years.

well i dont know about 02 ecxplorer xlts ect...but the 02 sport tracks and above will work...my brother totaled his 04 sport track adrenaline and now i have spiffy leather seats..no fabbing i belive for an 02 plus 4 door xploda youd have to fab something up cuz the car and hence seats are wider.

Infiniti I30. Very firm, but awesome on long trips. I want to say the TL I'll be getting, but it's not here yet so...

1991 oldsmobile cutlass supreme

none I hate leather

Would '05 Sport Trac seats be a direct bolt-in up front?

Hey HuskyFan take your truck down to Ballard to Mac's Upholstery. I love mine. They rebuilt the seat, new padding and stuff so its like new, and then katzkin aftermarket leather is really nice. Very comfortable. I also had a seat warmer installed in the drivers seat, great. They are very professional too. I want to say it was 1400 for the leather and 250 for the warmer installed. Check em out.

Well $1600 for a seat is a little high IMO. I say why pay all that when I can get leather and heated on eBay, driver and passenger, for a couple hundred.

that was with installation, i dont remember what the parts cost was but yeah you're right. just thouht id give you some ideas. that cost also included the rebuild of the seats.

Would navigator/aviator seats fit?

Maybe Aviator.. hmm. Navigator is Expedition, so it would probably fit there, but isn't the Aviator off the Explorer platform? Or is it off Escape? Those would be real nice.

What about Escape seats? They look the same as Explorer ones. I've got the measurements too. The front holes are 9.5" apart, rears are 10.25" apart. Seats are 21" wide.

Escape=Mariner/Tribute
Explorer=Mountaineer/Aviator
Expedition=Navigator

I'd ask you first what do u define comfortable by? Do you want cushy or do you want to be held in your seat like a sports car type seat? Because my 1990 Dodge Dynasty in high school had incredibly comfortable seats but they had no lateral support at all.

I just measured my X, holes are the same ways apart on my seats as on the Escape ones.
