Hey all, appreciate the help you can give.
Just parked Tina outside for 5 to 10 minutes to run inside the store. When I get back out she won't start.
To be specific, she won't even turn over. It's freezing out here, but I put antfreeze in before the cold hit.
We took out the battery and charged it and topped its cells with water and she still won't turn over. She was running low on oil, but I never heard any knocking or anything and she was handling fine on the way over.
Just having a hard time figuring out what could make her give up like this.

Tina's a 97 Ford Explorer and being temperamental. Thanks!

Where are you at, and what weight oil are you running?

Some of the 20w50 and similar oils don't like the cold.

Pull your spark plugs and try spinning it over without compression.

Maybe the starter has gotten weak and gave up the ghost, or the battery isn't really taking a full charge no matter what the meter says.

Have you had it load tested?

Put a meter on it and see what it drops to when you try to turn the engine over.

Let's start there.

I’d start by wiggling both battery cables really good. Does it click or make any sounds when you try to start it? Was the battery weak when you put it on the charger?

Yeah. Get the battery load tested.
