I have heard from some people around town that say. Its not safe to mount a amp on the box of subs. I have a single bandbass box that I just mounted my amp too. The side that the opening is on, not on the back. I just one 12 inch Alpine Type R and a Kicker ZR240 amp. I cant be pushing more than 350-360 watts. I have the original Kicker paper work. I don't think I will rattle anything lose, but I want your opinion.

IMO, don't mount the amp on the box. No reason to try to break something from the added vibrations.

with today's technology, i think its fine to mount it on the box

it "might" add some problems, but i highly doubt it

i had my last amps mounted to the box and i have my golith mounted to the box now

I just moundted mine on the back seat . that way i just disconnect the speaker wires when i need the room.

You wont see any additional problems in the typical modest setup. Of course the obvious CON is that if a thief breaks in it's one trip instead of two to empty the gear outta your truck.
