Moving Explorer and Escape to Germany

Hi, my family is moving to Germany. We own an Explorer Sport 02 and an Escape 02, which are just another two members of the family. My wife loves her Escape and I my Explorer.

We´ve been thinking of moving both cars to Germany, but we don´t have a clue of the german requisites, say, if exhaust emissions are permitted or some mechanical adjustments have to be made, import duties, spare parts in Germany, and so on...

Does someone have experience regarding this?

Advice and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

The Explorer of that generation was sold in Europe so spares should exist (body parts probably not) and the Escape was badged as the Maverick for Europe so they exist there as well.

As far as requirements someone else will have to chime in. I imagine side repeaters, rear fog light, and rear amber indicators will be needed.

Thank you Todd. The note regarding the Escape sold as Maverick is good, I will do some more research with that denomination. The same with lights.
