Do all engine mods that produce more power reduce gas milage? I am planing on getting that eaton supercharger adapter/kit next year after the truck is paid off. My milage is about 13-15 mpg right now, and i don't want to get any worse. I do need the extra power though.

I was figuring on getting one of those flip chips that was available a few years ago. I want it programed to accept regular gas, and have a setting for performance and a setting for fuel ecconomy. Is this possible?

What else would you reccomend to increase fuel ecconomy.

engine mods reduce strain on the engine if done correctly... the problem with relation to better worse gas mileage is that "needed" power is something you are currently lacking, and when adding it you will use it, meaning you will drive harder than the way you used to drive... its all relative.... doing tons of engine mods if driven conservateively will actually increase mileage... its when you do those same mods, and think, my truck has way more power now, and start driving it harder due to that fact theat mileage decreases

if done correctly your milage will stay about the same. My X has been supercharged since 98 and I am still seeing 14 mpg with little effort
