2010 Ford Explorer
Hi everybody I am new here. I am a former auto technician and currently an ASE master. I have a problem with my 2010 Ford Explorer with the 4.0 V6 engine. I has an intermittent no crank condition. I have moved the gear selector around to neutral and back to park when it happens. I have inserted the key in and out and turning the ignition from start to off position when it happens. Then I wait for 30 minutes to an hour then it starts fine and good for a couple of weeks then it does it again. The dealer cannot duplicate so they are no help. I thought next time it happens I will check for 12V at the solenoid terminal. If there is none I thought I would try to apply 12V to the solenoid and see if that works. I do not hear any relays when it happens although the lights are lit up on the instrument cluster. Any help would sure be appreciated. If someone wants to contact me directly my e-mail is billat28@aol.com. Thanks
