Hello to all!I am a newbie here, but have been reading some posts before joining and found quite a bit of help in here already!Ya'll are awesome.Anyway, here's my deal....check engine light came on so I went to Oreilly's and had them 'read' computer. The codes 111,122,186,and 332 came up.I changed the pcv valve,TPS,EGR valve,EVR ?sensor?,thermostat, and the water pump.Check engine light STILL came on.I went out at dusk dark and decided to check plug wires, sure enough I had arcing all around one of the wires. That was the problem the whole time(I said to myself)...WRONG!Changed the plugs and wires.Took it up the road and still the check engine light came on at about 1 1/2 miles up the road. Can someone pleeeeease help me out,I have no idea what else to do.Thanks much in advance

BTW...It's a 1994 Explorer 4x4,179,000 miles

what are the new codes after clearing the light and running it again?

Same ones as the first time it was checked

CODE 111 =system pass /being obd 1 you will always get that when hooked up to it even if there wasnt a problem

CODE 122 = throttle positioning sensor(tp) sensor-signal voltage is to low

CODE 186 = injector pulsewidth higher than expected or mass air flow (maf) sensor signal voltage is lower than expected

CODE 332 = insufficent egr flow

all this could boil down to a maf problem but for the egr you may have a cat starting to plug up..hard to say w/out being there to check it out make sure you check all vacuum lines and connections. being a 94 i assume you got the 4.0 that is pretty much the same block as the 2.9 that came in the BII's. make sure you maf is clean. do a seafoam treatment and just check everything under the hood make sure no vacuum lines are cross/cracked or crushed/ i know the 2.9's were tempermental and would drive a guy nuts. i cant recall the 94 4.0 having a maf...been long time since i looked at one..but i think it has a similar sensor that measures manifold vacum instead of airflow.. what are your driving symptoms?

Thanks man.Driving's fine,no problems 'felt',but it's my gf's and she's driving me crazy because the light comes on.I try to tell her that(IMO) as long as the fluids are fine and it drives ok,not to worry about it.She's a woman so needless to say it don;t matter what I think.lol..My cousin put me on this great deal, old man had it,just had put new battery and new tires on it,we got it for $500.She's had it for 4yrs now and this is the first time it's gave any problems what so ever.Thank the good Lord!

The first 111 is for the KOEO test, indicating that there were no faults present at the time of the test. The rest of the codes are CM codes for faults that were present while driving.

1st thing I'd probably do would be to run the KOER test (see the stickies in this forum) and see if there are any faults indicated in the KOER test. KOER codes, like KOEO codes, are hard fault "here and now" codes that can be easier to diagnose.

Keep in mind that codes point to problems in circuits, of which the sensor is only one part. For the EGR system, this also means checking the vacuum lines and other tubing to the EGR system. I might try cleaning the MAF to see if that makes a difference.
