Multiple electrical problems all at once.

Well it's fixed. They hooked there computer up to the car an a whole slue of errors came up all mostly linking to the gague cluster being the problem. Disconnected the gague cluster and reconnected it and poof all problems gone.

Now that is strange! Thanks for posting back what fixed it... Im sure someone else will hit the same problem

I had the same problem with my 2002 Explorer. The radio and windows stopped working. I found #17 fuse blown. BUT...when I went to replace the fuse, it sparked and blew it out again. The keys were not in the ignition. What could be the cause of this???

Cant explain the gauges not working... but the radio, windows, and lights are all delayed accessories.
There is a fuse under the dash for that.

I accidentally short circuited mine and had the same problem. No radio, windows or lights.
I cant remember what fuse it was but 17 rings a bell. Check your manual, its a fuse that's under the steering column.

This fuse controls the things that stay on after you remove the key such as your radio, windows, interior lights etc

Is this fuse located in the main fuse box under the dash? Apparently my stupid truck has several fuse boxes. But the general fuses are all under the dash.

Curis: Your solution was 100% correct. It is fuse #17 [15 amp].
