Just curious what everyone would consider a "must have" modification on a daily driver.

My list includes:

synthetic fluids throughout
electric fan
cat bacl exhause
intake ( Mac or K& N )
custome computer tune by Doug ( Bama Chips )

That electric fan will give you a lot of power back. I believe an electric fan vs. a engine drove fan can free-up about 5-15% of it's power back. Talk about a good mod! I want to do it, soon. Aldive has a write up on it somewhere on here.

It will get you maybe two RWHP at most, the upside is the engine will rev up faster, slight but it is noticible.
Just make sure you get the right fan, look at the Flex-lite 180 extreame JMO

i would get:

a good stereo
intake
exhuast
chip

By definition of MUST HAVE
I am gonna say nothing.

A good idea,
synth fluids ( at least oil )
Bama chip,
TPS mod,
K&N filter,
throttle cable mod.
Rain X

Where would I get a bama chip, and what would the costs and benefits be?

the benefits will be better MPG's, better performance, quicker acceleration.
With that some of the best customer support I have ever dealt with.
Doug aint happy till you are happy.

Wow! Doug has a nice new website. He will be buried with business soon. When did he get that up? You can't find a better more helpful guy to talk to about a chip/flasher.

I have to agree with these guys on the first things to do. They know what they are talking about. (except maybe the stereo-I'm deaf)

My SCT is on the way from Doug now. I have a few things planned for the trans before I do the exhaust and air intake though. Whats the TPS (throttle position sensor???) mod? I missed that one somewhere.

Thanks Al. When I swapped throttle bodies on my ranger the TPS on the new one was adjustable. I just assumed all fords were that way. I see ours are not. Hence the mod.

wow i might look into a chip.. my friend had one on his silverado a while back and said it was super duper

I have them.. do you? :p
